Tools for Enabling Creative Development

System Requirement Analysis

Originating Requirements: Example System Engineering Software

In this module, we will be discussing system requirements, how to analyze the requirements for the development of systems, the tools for enabling the development, and the originating requirements.

Functional Architecture Development

Functional Decomposition

The IDEF0 Diagram

In this module, you will learn how to use IDEF0 to decompose functions in sub functions and then learn to use those subfunctions to create a hierarchical function structure.

Physical Architecture Development

Implementing Fault Tolerance in Physical Architecture

Operational Architecture Development

Methods of Allocation of Function

Interface Architecture Development

In this module, you will gain a better understanding of the physical architecture of the system. The allocation architecture will be covered in more detail and you will learn how to identify the necessary requirements.

Advanced Diploma in Principles of Engineering System Design - First Assessment

This module enables you to review your learning so you can determine your knowledge and understanding of Modules 1 to 4 in the following course; Advanced Diploma in Principles of Engineering System Design.

Interface Standards and Design process

Integration and Qualification

Qualification Planning and Methods

In this module, you will learn about the Standards which exist for a communication system. The various stages in qualification like verification, validation, and acceptance will also be discussed with the top-level and bottom level cycles or the higher and lower level cycles of qualification.

Autolink system

Institute Service Kiosk Terminals(InSeKTs)

System Design Examples (InSeKTs)

This module covers the Acceptance Strategies, the Acceptance Stress Methods, and the plan for the Acceptance Test. You will learn how system design principles can be applied to some practical examples.

Graphical Modelling Techniques

Process Modeling

Behavior Modeling

Petri Nets

System Modeling and Simulation

In this module, you will learn about some of the most commonly used methods for system modeling, namely, Data Modeling, Process Modeling and Behavior Modeling. You will also cover physical system testing through simulations.

Bond Graph Modeling of Dynamic Systems

Decision Making in System Design

SAC vs OAT Function

In this module, you will learn the important elements in Bondgraph, how to make decisions and how to identify and quantify the conflicting criteria in decision making.
